Macau has hit the jackpot to become the world's gambling capital.

The city's casinos took in $45bn (£27bn) last year, which means Macau earns more in two months than the US hotspot of Las Vegas does in a year.

As a result, US gambling tycoon Sheldon Adelson has bet big on the Chinese territory with his company Sands China.

It owns the world's two largest casinos in Macau, and seems to have come up with a winning hand again, raking in $750m in the first quarter.

The BBC's Juliana Liu has more.
