Republican Rep Thomas Carmody said the State House on Monday that he would introduce the measure does not. He said the legislature had told him, they were concerned that the Bill was always a distraction from more important debates, such as the State budget.
Carmody said that he sponsored the proposal, after a part of the application submitted. He insisted that the Bill was not designed to State support of Christianity or a particular religion.
